Preparations are underway for the Grand Rapids Balloon Festival!
The hot air balloon festival will kick off on Thursday, July 21 for the Thursday Night Glow at Ah-Nab-Awen Park. From 6-10 p.m. you can walk inside a RE/MAX hot air balloon for $1 and watch as the hot air balloons "glow" throughout the night sky. There will also be live music and information about the festival.
The main festival will be the weekend of July 22 and 23 at the Hudsonville Fairgrounds. In addition to viewing hot air balloons, there will be crafts, carnival games, a farmer's market, and more.
The festival will be open on Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday from 1-9 p.m.
Admission for the festival is $1 for kids ages 3-17, and $3 for adults. Kids 3 and under get in for free.
All proceeds from this event will go to the charities Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and P.O.R.T.
