KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A woman is recovering in the hospital with gunshot wounds, and a man is in custody, following a shooting in Kalamazoo late Monday night.
It happened at around 10:30 p.m. on Krom Avenue. When officers got to the scene, they found a 22-year-old woman on the ground. She had been shot during what police describe as a ‘disagreement’ and was rushed to the hospital. She is in stable condition.
Approximately an hour-and-a-half after the shooting, a 25-year old man showed up at KDPS headquarters and surrendered to police. He is now in the county jail awaiting arraignment.
