GRAND RAPIDS, Mich - The Grand Rapids Police Department is currently working to determine what led up to a shooting late Thursday night that left one person injured.
The shooting happened just before 10:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Leonard Street, not far from Alpine Avenue.
Police say one person showed up to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. That victim, a male, is expected to survive.
Police are still working to gather details, but believe this incident is separate from a shooting in Grand Rapids Thursday afternoon that led to a heavy police response at a home on Pine Avenue.
