Meijer Summer State Games Kicks Off This Weekend

More than 7500 athletes from all across West Michigan are coming to compete in the 7th Annual Meijer State Games of Michiganthis weekend.

The Meijer State Games of Michigan is a multi-sport, Olympic-style event that welcomes athletes regardless of age or ability. The Games embody the values of participation, sportsmanship and healthy living among residents of the state of Michigan.

The main weekend is from June 23-26, with the opening ceremonies happening on June 24.

Opening ceremonies will be at Fifth Third Ballpark from 2-9 p.m.

Admission is $6 for people 10 years and older, and children 9 and under get in for free. There is also a parking fee of $6 after 3:30 p.m.
