GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The self-described vigilante linked to the arrests of several suspected child predators is being sued by one of the men he caught on camera.

Zach Sweers, who goes by “Anxiety War” online, posted a video saying he is facing a lawsuit from one of the suspects he led police to earlier this year.  That suspect accuses Sweers of defamation and says that he met with Sweers, who he thought was an underage girl, to talk her out of any criminal action.

Sweers is reaching out to social media to help fund his defense.

As of Tuesday midday,Sweers GoFundMe page has raised over $6,500.  His goal is $25,000.

Sweers has stopped his pursuit of other suspected predatorsafter receiving a letter encouraging him to stop from the Kent County Prosecutor.
