KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A former council member in Sparta was sentenced to six months in jail for possession of child pornography.
According to the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office, 46-year-old Paul Hibbard was also sentenced to five years of probation and must register as a sex offender.
Hibbard still faces child sex and neglect charges in Muskegon County.
He was charged in February with attempting to persuade a minor into an act of gross indecency, a 5-year felony. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the neglect of minors.
