West Michigan – A low pressure system and cold front will bring several rounds of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday. Some of these storms be strong to severe and the Storm Predication Center has all of West Michigan in a Slight Risk of severe weather.
Our Future Track model has one area of showers and thunderstorms crossing the area early Thursday morning. These storms should be diminishing, but they could still produce some gusty winds and heavy rain.
A cold front will approach the area by Wednesday afternoon and evening. If we see some sunshine during the afternoon, severe thunderstorms are possible ahead of the front. These storms could produce hail an inch or greater, winds in excess of 60 mph, and isolated tornado.
