DOWAGIAC, Mich. — A rider said he was hurt when a tire blew out and his motorcycle crashed in Cass County early Saturday morning.

According to Sheriff Joseph Underwood Jr., at 5:05 a.m. Saturday deputies were called to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac regarding a man who had been injured in a motorcycle crash. Upon arriving at the hospital, deputies identified the man as Jonathan Corey, 27, of Dowagiac.

Corey told deputies that he had been eastbound on Morton Street in Twin Lakes when the front tire on his motorcycle popped, causing the motorcycle to crash. Corey was transported to the hospital by relatives.
