KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The man accused of driving his pickup truck into a crowd of bicyclists, killing five people and injuring four more, was formally charged Friday.
Charles Pickett, Jr. is charged with five counts of second-degree murder and four counts of reckless driving causing serious injury for the crash on Tuesday night on North Westnedge Avenue.
Pickett was ordered held without bond. He is scheduled to be back in court June 22.
