St. Joseph County drug sweep nets 1 ounce of Meth, multiple arrests

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. — The St. Joseph County Area Narcotics division reported Thursday that they had concluded two separate investigations in the area that led to multiple drug arrests and seizure of almost an ounce of Crystal Ice Methamphetamine on Wednesday.

The first incident occurred in the 1100 block of Nottawa St. in Sturgis. A 32-year-old male was taken into custody after a buy and bust procedure was carried out.

The Sturgis man was taken into custody on offenses of Delivery of Methamphetamine and Possession of Meth.

The second incident of the day occurred in the 60000 block of Lutz Rd. in Lockport Township. Officers were tipped to information and were able to take a 29-year-old female and a 52-year-old male into custody.

The female subject was taken into custody for two outstanding warrants and Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver. The male subject was taken into custody for Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver Aide and Abet.

The identities of the people involved are not being released at this time. They are currently being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.
