Suspect sought after armed robbery outside Battle Creek home

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Police are searching for a man who they say robbed another man at gunpoint Wednesday evening.

The incident happened at about 8:46 p.m. in the 100 block of Rambling Lane.  Police say the man was going into his home when the suspect approached him with a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect then fled on foot.  A police dog was used to track the suspect but was unable to locate him, according to a release.

The suspect is described by police as a black male with short hair who is roughly 6 feet tall and 200 lbs.  He was wearing a black t-shirt, red and black shorts and red shoes at the time of the incident, according to a release.
