PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 4-year-old Holland girl was hospitalized with serious injuries Wednesday after a crash at 144th Avenue and New Holland Street.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened at about 10:37 a.m. when an SUV collided with a pick-up truck that was pulling a trailer with a sailboat on it. Officials say the SUV was westbound on New Holland and the driver, a 46-year-old Holland man, failed to yield the right of way.
The girl was the front seat passenger in the SUV. Both drivers sustained minor injuries in the crash.
