GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Admission to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum will be free Tuesday after ceremonies to rededicate the museum are held at 10 a.m. The museum was closed for several months to undergo a $15 million update to redesign displays and transform exhibits into more interactive experiences.

The museum examines the development of the future president's character, the political and personal experiences of the president and first lady Betty Ford.

Before the re-opening, the late president's sons Steven and Michael described the new museum as "spectacular," "bright and innovative."
