June 4 marks National Trails Day, and the North Country Trail Association is holding multiple events this weekend to celebrate.
A way that the American Hiking Society is celebrating is by participating in the Hike 100 Challenge on the North Country Scenic Trail.
The North Country Scenic Trail is one of the best kept secrets in West Michigan. The 4600 mile long trail goes through seven states, starting in the middle of North Dakota and ending on the Vermont New York border at Lake Champagne.
