RAVENNA, Mich.--After graduating high school Sunday, the teen who survived the crash that killed her siblings is getting back in the game: Emily Kubasiak was okayed by a doctor to play in her team's last normal softball game of the season.

The teen was driving to school back in February with her brother, Peter, and sister, Erika, when they were involved in a head-on crash. Erika died at the scene, and Peter died days later.

Emily only got her neck brace off about two weeks ago, after fracturing her neck and breaking six ribs.

Now, she and her family are just grateful they have each other and can continue moving forward.

"You definitely have to live every day as if it's your last," said Emily, "You never know what's gonna happen...and you also have to work hard for everything you do."

As for how they plan to move on from here, dad Peter Kubasiak said things won't ever be back to normal.

"But it doesn't mean we can't go forward the best we can and do normal things...like support softball and baseball," he said.

As for the game itself--Emily's team ended up winning 12-nothing, with a solid hit from the teen. Next year, she plans to go to Muskegon Community College.
