HART, Mich. – A woman has been charged with several crimes after allegedly stabbing a man in a remote area of the Manistee National Forest.
Candice Fennel, 20, was charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, felonious assault, lying to police and being a habitual offender. She is being held on a $50,000 bond and may face more charges, Lt. Craig Mast told FOX 17 Monday.
According to Mast, Fennel allegedly stabbed a 21-year-old Muskegon man last Thursday, about 9:30 p.m. The man suffered serious wounds to his neck and shoulder and almost bled to death. The man was able to drive himself to a nearby home for help.
The woman was found in the woods by a Muskegon County K-9 unit. Mast tells FOX 17 that the two apparently met for a “business transaction”.
