HOLLAND, Mich. -- Police are trying to locate a driver who led them on a short pursuit before crashing and running from the scene early Tuesday morning.

It all started at around 2:15 a.m. in the city of Holland.  Police say it started with a stalking complaint against the suspect.  When officers caught up with the 20-year-old male in his pickup truck, he led them on a short pursuit before wrecking at Waverly Avenue and M-40, ending the chase.

When officers caught up at the scene of the crash, the driver was nowhere to be found.  Police then set up an expansive perimeter to try and catch the suspect.  They were using thermal imaging technology in an attempt to track the individual down.  So far, nobody is in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
