WYOMING, Mich. — Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a crash on US-131 early Sunday.

MDOT said the crashed closed the Northbound lanes of US-131 at 44th St. near exit 79 for roughly three hours Sunday morning.

A car was rolled over on the highway, while another was in a ditch on the side of the road.

Michigan State Police said a 19-year-old driver in a 2001 Audi crashed into a 2005 Hyundai sedan. Both drivers were taken to the hospital.

Troopers said it’s believed alcohol played a role.
