Samaritas Senior Living is launching a new program called The Academy.
The Academy offers classes to residents, staff, and even members of the Grand Rapids community.
To celebrate, they're hosting an event called MapleCreek on Tap.
Nine vendors will be present offering samples of their special brews, going over the beer making process, and offering insight why Grand Rapids has earned the title of "Beer City U.S.A."
The event is from 4pm to 7pm on May 13 at Samaritas. The event is free to attend and the only cost is 50 cents per tasting.
