Eaton County Sheriff searching for Lansing shooting suspect

LANSING, Mich. — The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an unidentified suspect in a Lansing shooting on Wednesday.

Eaton County Sheriff’s deputies were called at about 11:00pm to a report of a shooting victim at the Elmwood Park Apartment Complex in Lansing.

Upon their arrival, deputies found a man with multiple gunshot wounds lying on a sidewalk. He is currently in critical condition.

Eaton County Sheriff confirmed the suspect was last seen running southeast from the scene on Mall Drive East toward a Zap Zone establishment. K-9 units were sent to track the suspect, but they was not successful.

The shooter is described as a black male in his late 20’s to early 30’s with a thin build. It is said he is around 5’10” tall, was wearing a head scarf, dark shirt and pants.
