Richard and Helen Devos along with Peter and Joan Secchia gave a total of $15 million for construction.

The facility is going up along the medical mile in downtown Grand Rapids, the former site of the Grand Rapids Press.

The facility will support 44 research teams that will study a variety of conditions including autism, cancer, parkinson's, and alzheimer's disease.

The $88 million construction project is expected to open in 2017.

The MI Career Quest 2016 is an all-day job fair at Devos Place hosted by West Michigan Works.

Organizers set up interactive exhibits and booths that students and job hunters were able to browse from 10am to 2pm

At 4pm the job fair opens up to the community with nearly 100 employers from construction, health care, information technology, and manufacturing fields.

3. Plans are in the works to build a Chick-Fil-A in Kent County.

On May 9, the Gaines Township Board unanimously approved the restaurant.  It will be near M-6 and Kalamazoo Avenue.

These plans are now in action after local leaders and the restaurant ironed out the design plans and addressed concerns about increased traffic in the area.

Construction could begin as early as the end of May.

4. A local brewer has launched a specialty beer based on a piece of classical music.

Brewery Vivant created the "Carmina Beerana" as part of the brewery's collaboration with the Grand Rapids Symphony.

The name pays tribute to Carl Orff's popular "Carmina Burana" which is being performed by the symphony this weekend to close out its season.

There was a launch event Monday night, which featured live music from the symphony, as well as chorus singers.

The beer will be on tap until it runs out and will also be available to take home in growlers.

5. This 4th of July, you could be reaching for a cold bottle of “America” instead of Budweiser.

According to Adage, Anheuser-Busch InBev has filed this label for approval.

The company is asking to change the name of the beer to the name of our country for the summer.

Their marketing team is always touting that they are an American company first and foremost.

All they've said so far is July fourth and the Olympics will play a role in their summer advertising.
