GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Kent County Health Department says that latest test results show that mumps are not on the campus of Calvin College.

Two suspected cases were reported last week.  One case was determined to be negative and the other was inconclusive.  Late Tuesday afternoon, the health department retested the inconclusive case and it remained inconclusive.  A third case was found and the tests on that one came back negative as well.

KCHD says they just learned of a fourth potential case and those tests are still pending.

KCHD says that last Friday they offered free vaccinations to about 40 unvaccinated Calvin students.  As of today, more than a dozen Calvin students are still not vaccinated.
