KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A Kalamazoo man died Friday morning at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
The cause of death has not been determined.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were called to Bronson Methodist Hospital just before 6:00am. The 57-year-old man had been released from care at the hospital, but was refusing to leave. The man told officers that he would not leave and asked them to arrest him. They arrested him on a valid warrant.
After taking the man to the jail, he stopped breathing. Officers and responders performed CPR on the man, but was pronounced dead just after 7:30am.
