Consignment shop sets fundraisers for teens in fatal crash

UPDATE: The East Beltline location of The Attic has closed.  The store is also now making a donation of 15% to the families.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – An area store that features gently used name brand clothing is hosting fundraisers for families of five teens who were involved in a fatal crash.

All three locations ofThe Atticwill be donating a 10% of their sales on an upcoming Saturday to the families of the teens.

Alyssa Eggerding died in the crash in early April at Vinton Avenue and 9 Mile Road when the car she was riding in crashed into a tree.  Olivia Lawrence, Kaitlin Keeler, Alyssa Naughton and Armando Mendoza were all injured in the crash.

The Attic is donating 10% of sales on Saturday, May 7th to the families of Eggerding and Lawrence.  On Saturday, May 14th, the store is donating 10% of the sales to the families of Keeler, Naughton and Mendoza.

The Attic has locations at 3519 Alpine NW and 2500 East Beltline SE in Grand Rapids and 5169 Harvey Street in Muskegon.
