CLIMAX, Mich. – Climax-Scotts High School has closed for the day and all evening activities have been canceled after the school received a threat.

The threat covers both the Junior High and the Senior High.  6th grade through 12th grade are in that building.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office tells FOX 17 that the threat came in at about 10:30am and was for a bomb.  The school office tells us the threat was a hand-written note found inside the school building.

Students were released at 11:45am as a precaution.  Kalamazoo County investigators are at the scene, but have deemed the threat as ‘low-level’.

Classes are expected to resume Tuesday.  The elementary school is not affected.
