GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The city is getting a little greener, just in time for Arbor Day.

The Grand Rapids Urban Forest Project is planting trees in and around Mulick Park on the southeast side of Grand Rapids.  Over 150 trees are ready to be planted, lining the streets in the neighborhood around the park.

The trees will be planted by Urban Forest Project staff, citizen foresters and a number of volunteers.  Organizers say this will be one of the largest volunteer plantings ever done in Grand Rapids.
