KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Authorities with the Michigan State Police confirmed to FOX17 the completed psychiatric evaluation for Kalamazoo rampage suspect Jason Dalton recommends he is competent to stand trial.
Those findings come just days before Dalton is due to appear in court on Friday.
Ultimately, a judge will decide whether or not to accept the recommendation.
Dalton faces 16 criminal charges in connection to the Feb. 20 shooting rampage across the Kalamazoo area.
Authorities said Dalton showed periodical remorse during an interrogation following the February shooting spree that left six people dead and two others wounded.
