Police investigating report of shots fired outside Holland club

HOLLAND, Mich.— Officers are investigating reports of shots fired outside a Holland night club Sunday morning.

They responded to a fight outside the El Revention Club around 1:53am.  Before they arrived a caller reported shots being fired as well as a female who was possibly shot.

When officers got to the scene, they found out the suspect who shot the gun got onto a limo bus that was just leaving.  They also discovered the possible victim had gotten into a different vehicle and also left the area, witnesses said she may have been headed to the hospital.

Officers later stopped the bus on US-31 north of Lincoln Avenue and performed a felony traffic stop. They told everyone to exit the vehicle, but for the first 45 minutes passengers refused to get off the bus. During this time, both Northbound and Southbound lanes were shut down.

The bus had over 35 passengers on board, all were identified.  Officers found three guns and marijuana on the bus. They also found another weapon on a person who had a concealed carry license.

Police say the woman who was reported as a possible victim was not shot, she was instead suffering from a medical emergency unrelated to the fight.

A Muskegon man was arrested on an unrelated warrant. Several other persons of interest were identified but officers say they  are still investigating.
