WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Mich.— A 45-year-old man was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle accident Saturday evening.
Deputies responded to the scene around 4:25pm at the intersection of Dutch Settlement Street and Nubour Road in Cass County.
They say motorcyclist Roger Pedat was driving eastbound on Dutch Settlement when he approached a vehicle waiting to turn onto Nubour.
He tried to avoid a crash by laying down his motorcycle down on the pavement.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Pedat was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Deputies say he was wearing a helmet and they don’t believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
