KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A 52-year-old man died following a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in Grand Rapids Township.
It happened on 4 mile near Summitview in front of the Provin Trails Park in Grand Rapids Township.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Department said a car driven by a 17-year-old from Grand Rapids struck the motorcyclist as he attempted to turn left into the park.
The motorcyclist was identified as Jon Michael Penning, 52, of Grand Rapids. Police said Penning suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
