Moped rider leads Mount Pleasant Police on not-so-high-speed pursuit before wrecking on railroad tracks

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — A moped rider accused of leading police on a pursuit in Mount Pleasant is facing multiple charges this week.

According to 9 & 10 News, the pursuit started when a police officer noticed a moped without proper registration.  The rider was also not seated properly.

When the officer attempted to stop the rider, the suspect took off.  After a brief chase, the rider crashed on a set of railroad tracks and was later apprehended by police.
