Couple arrested for meth possession; four kids found inside house

MARCELLUS, Mich. – Two people were arrested on meth charges and maintaining a drug house with four young children inside in Cass County Wednesday.

The arrests came at a house in the 100 block of W. North Street in Marcellus.

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team searched the residence on suspicion of methamphetamine use at the home.  They found meth paraphernalia and four young children at the home.  They arrested a 36-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman who they say both were in possession of meth. The Michigan Department of Human Services was called in to take care of the kids.

The names of the couple have not been released, pending their arraignments.  The investigation is continuing.
