COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A 14-year-old boy riding his bicycle was seriously injured after being hit by a distracted driver Monday evening.
The crash happened on east K Ave. near 30th Street in Comstock Township about 7:30pm. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's office says the driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old Kalamazoo woman, appears to have been distracted by her cell phone.
The boy was taken to Bronson Hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation, but charges could be filed against the woman.
