GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A total of 2,200 Consumers Energy customers were without power for several hours in Kent County on Saturday morning.
Consumers Energy said “an issue” at the Bowen Substation led to the outage, which affected customers on the north side of Grand Rapids in the area near Three Mile Road, Plainfield Avenue and East Beltline Avenue.
A Consumers spokeswoman said electrical service was expected to be restored by 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Power was returned to the area shortly after 11:30.
