WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Six Lakes, Michigan man has been arrested for allegedly torturing a dog.
Michigan State Police from Mt. Pleasant responded Wednesday to a complaint of a dog being tortured in Wheatland Township in Mecosta County. There, they found a dog with what they say were “significant wounds.” They arrested a 33-year-old from Six Lakes who told police that he had been asked by the owner of the dog to kill it, because he didn’t want it any more.
The dog was suffering from serious injuries, so troopers euthanized the dog at the scene. The suspect was taken to the Mecosta County Jail.
