GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Unseasonably snowy weather for April resulted in roadways being closed due to accidents and slide-offs throughout West Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
Westbound I-94 east of Kalamazoo near Galesburg in Kalamazoo County was closed due to multiple collisions. Traffic was being rerouted off the freeway at the Columbia Avenue exit.
Westbound Interstate 196 at Hudsonville in Ottawa County also was also closed down due to a multiple-vehicle crash. Traffic was being diverted from the roadway at the 32nd Avenue exit off I-196.
Both roadways have since reopened.
