The votes have been counted and it's time to unveil which "fan favorites" will hit the menu at Fifth Third Ballpark this spring.
Whitecaps food fans voted for a concoction of turkey pot roast, cheese curds, french fries, gravy in a pita style wrap as the food they most wanted available at ball games this year. It’s called “Dutch Love,” and from indications on the team’s web site, it will be available at what will be called the comfort food cart that will serve up waffle fries and tater tots with a slew of toppings available.
Dutch Love won out over a Klondike bar covered in chili, a deep-fried Reese’s peanut butter cup, deep-fried granola bars, a burger with mozzarella sticks and onion rings that came in at 1,300 calories, a gyro on a donut, and a waffle covered with lobster salad.
