GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police are looking for a 20-year-old man accused of a home invasion and armed robbery that took place on Friday night.
Police responded to a break-in of a Grand Rapids home around 7:55 at the 400 block of Delaware Avenue.
Officers say the man broke into the victim’s home and held her at gunpoint for several hours. He stole some items from the home then fled the scene in a gold sedan.
Just after 8 p.m. police found the sedan during a traffic stop near Poinsettia Avenue and Norman Street with three people inside. Two of the suspects were taken into custody while the third ran on foot.
Police called a K-9 unit and tracked him down to the 4100 block of Norman Street.
After 4 hours of attempting to make contact with the suspect, a person came out of a residence in the area, and told police the suspect may be inside. After searching the residence, the suspect wasn’t found.
