"I never dreamed of something like this happening to our baby brother," said Michael's older sister Michela White, who told FOX17 she feels like she's living in a dream, waiting for him to come home once more.

Michael, 16, was a junior at Wyoming High School. He was found dead at Lions Park the morning of March 19. Police are awaiting autopsy results to release an official cause of death but are treating the case as a homicide.

Those who attended the vigil shared memories of Michael. One friend said that he was a "unifier" of sorts at school, as he often spent time hanging with people from different groups.

His cousin, Kendra Colby, said that he gave the best hugs.

"He loved everybody and he wouldn't want us to be sad," Michael's younger sister told FOX 17. "He would want us to live life."
