BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Two people have been arrested in Battle Creek after members of the Southwest Enforcement Team found heroin and crack cocaine that were packaged and ready for sale.
The team, which is comprised of Michigan State Police and members of county sheriff’s offices and local police agencies, executed a search warrant Monday in Battle Creek after a month-long investigation. Along with the heroin and cocaine, they found packaging material, scales and cash, believed to be proceeds from other sales.
One person was arrested for distributing heroin and crack cocaine. A second person was arrested on unrelated charges in another area. The names of the suspects have not been released.
