BYRON CENTER, Mich. — A 42-year-old Jenison man is facing charges after allegedly spying on a woman while she was in a fitting room at Tanger Outlets, 350 84th St SW.

Jeffrey Lafonta Green is being charged with surveilling an unclothed person, using a computer to commit a crime and eavesdropping, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators say a woman was in a fitting room March 4 when she saw a cell phone being held over the wall.

She yelled, and employees confronted Green when he left a changing room, according to a release.   He reportedly denied doing anything wrong  and said he had to go to work.

The woman’s husband obtained his license plate number and detectives later found Green at work, according to a release.

Officials did not name the store where the incident happened.  Employees claim Green was a frequent customer, the sheriff’s department said in a release.
