COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Michigan State’s Bryn Forbes hit six 3-pointers in the second half as the sixth-ranked Spartans beat Ohio State 81-62 on Tuesday night.
Forbes had 27 points and finished 7 of 10 from 3-point range.
The Spartans (23-5, 10-5 Big Ten) led 36-31 at halftime but Forbes then scored 20 points and Matt Costello added 12 of his 16.
Denzel Valentine added 17 points and eight assists as the Spartans won for the seventh time in eight games.
Michigan State made 14 of 22 3-point attempts.
Marc Loving had 19 points and JaQuan Lyle added 16 for Ohio State (18-11, 10-6), who had a four-game winning streak stopped.
Ohio State was without sophomore starting forward Jae’Sean Tate because of a left shoulder injury that will keep him out the rest of the season. He will undergo surgery on Friday.
