ALLEGAN, Mich. – One person is in custody and another one injured after a shooting overnight in Allegan County.
Deputies were called after the victim was brought to the Allegan General Hospital with a gunshot wound by friends.
The victim and witness told deputies that the shooting happened at about 1:30am at Little John Lake County Park on 113th Avenue in Trowbridge Township. The shooting apparently happened after a disagreement between the victim and the suspect over the sale of a weapon that had taken place before. Investigators were told that the two were meeting to resolve the situation when the shooting took place.
The suspect was taken into custody about Noon on Monday at a traffic stop.
