LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder has ordered U.S. and Michigan flags to be lowered to half-staff for six days starting Monday to honor the six people killed in the mass shooting in Kalamazoo Saturday.
The order was posted for all state buildings and flags within the state Capitol complex.
“The shootings are a senseless act of violence that claimed the lives of innocent citizens and injured two others,” Snyder said in a press release.
Gov. Snyder visited first responders and families in Kalamazoo Sunday afternoon.
