ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan has confirmed that that norovirus has caused more than 100 students to be sick this week.
The university said in a release that the outbreak was first identified “among students living in University Housing at West Quad and South Quad.”
Norovirus is highly contagious and can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and fever.
Chief health officer Doctor Robert Winfield suggests students and staff sing the school fight song, “The Victors,” while thoroughly washing their hands with soap and water. It should take 20 seconds.
