WEST MICHIGAN – Low pressure will pass through the northern Great Lakes on Friday with very strong winds and mild temperatures.
The Future Track model shows the storm system located over Lake Superior by Friday afternoon. The circulation around the low shows the isobars (lines of equal pressure) tightly packed together over West Michigan. The closer the isobars, the stronger the winds.
The computer model for Friday afternoon shows southwest winds for West Michigan. Sustained wind speeds will be 25-35 mph with occasional gusts near 50 mph.
The National Weather Service may issue some type of Wind Watch or Wind Advisory for the area.
