HOLLAND, Mich. — Authorities believe distracted driving is likely to blame for a crash that sent a woman to the hospital Monday afternoon.
Authorities told FOX 17 it happened around 5:30 p.m. along 58th Street close to 141st near Holland.
The woman was driving north on 58th Street, when she crossed the center lanes and struck a semi head-on. Police said the driver dropped her cell phone and tried to retrieve it when the crash happened.
The impact caused the semi trailer to tip over.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, while the semi driver was not hurt.
