MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man is dead after being stabbed during a fight with his roommate.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just after 1:00 a.m. at the Northport apartment complex in Macomb Township.
Deputies found 21-year-old Brian Shepard inside the apartment suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
According to investigators, the Shepard was in the apartment with his roommate and two other people.
Shepard and his roommate got into a physical altercation, when he was stabbed.
The 26-year-old suspect was taken into custody. He is currently lodged at the county jail.
The incident is still under investigation.
