BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Police in Battle Creek arrested one person on drug charges, but are still looking for the person they believe is connected to a reported home invasion and attempted murder.
Police said the driver of a white Dodge Charger was located and detained early this week. Authorities also found two bags of cocaine, marijuana and several hundred dollars in cash in the vehicle. The driver of the car was arrested and is facing drug charges.
The alleged home invasion and attempted murder happened over the weekend in the 5600 block of Dahlia Drive in Battle Creek. On Monday, police identified the suspect involved as Bruce Mireles, 27. It was reported the man broke into a home and assaulted a male victim with a knife. The victim was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.
Investigators are still looking for Bruce Mireles. Police also reported the suspect was seen in the white dodge charger after the alleged crime. They located the car Monday night, but there was no sign of the suspect in question.
