GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Early Tuesday morning, GRPD announced they made an arrest in connection to a weekend stabbing.
A massive police response and tactical unit investigated a barricaded house in the city’s southwest side Monday evening in relation toa weekend stabbing.
Sgt. Terry Dixon says that a search warrant was issued to a home in the 1000 block of Sheridan Avenue SW around 6:45 PM. Police initially believed that a suspect involved with the stabbing that happened at the Yester Years Lounge Sunday morning was held up inside.
Police said the suspect was later found in a backyard about a half block away from the home where they had been searching.
The weekend stabbing left Isaac Ramos, 47, with life threatening injuries. Police say he’s stable after being stabbed multiple times in the torso.
